Unit Coordinator (Wareham)

Job Summary
Coordinate transportation for clients to appointments, recovery homes, and medical visits. Maintain patient charts electronically and manually from admission to discharge, complete census information, and process admissions with the Patient Access Department. Assist admitting staff with patient check-ins, activities of daily living, and bag searches. Provide directions to treatment staff, answer the nursing station telephone, and take messages. Monitor patient activity during recovery-oriented socialization and conduct twelve-step discussion groups when shift-appropriate. Perform housekeeping and custodial tasks while documenting observations in shift logs and incident reports. Participate in required training for CPR, de-escalation, and trauma-informed care.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to cover multiple shifts, including weekends
- One to Three (1-3) years of customer service experience
- Experience and comfortability with high-stress, fast-paced environment
- Comfort speaking in front of larger groups
- Experience with operating office equipment (fax, copier, etc.)
- Computer literate and knowledgeable about current office applications
- Knowledge and understanding of sanitation, cleanliness, safety, and facility upkeep
- Knowledge of computer office applications (data entry, word processing, etc.)
- Clerical skills, understanding of filing systems, ability to maintain accurate records
- Working familiarity of medical terminology
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with an interdisciplinary team
- Current CPR certification or be CPR certifiable
Desired Qualifications
- Experience, training, or education in the field of addiction or mental health
- Valid MA Driver's License with no restrictions
- Past experience with facilitation of groups
