Job Summary
Coordinate nursing staff, patients, physicians, and visitors through communication, supply requisitioning, and equipment management. Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate unit efficiency, including scanning orders, maintaining bed tracks, booking appointments, and managing discharge paperwork. Manage unit workflow by printing reports, filing charts, conducting daily audits, and completing shift-to-shift reports. Order supplies, maintain par levels, and ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Serve as a resource person and preceptor for new employees while fostering a culture of safety and patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately
- Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals
