Job Summary
Unit Coordinator at BMH EMCU provides leadership and clinical liaison with staff, physicians and management, acting as a role model/mentor and coordinating hiring/orientation, staffing, payroll and budget. The role involves maintaining unit standards, ensuring safe care and quality, serving as a contact for internal/external customers, supervising scheduling, participating in recruitment, and supporting leadership development. Requires RN licensure in Michigan, a Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing, 2 years of clinical experience, and electronic fetal monitoring certification within 6 months; preferred advanced nursing certifications and formal/informal leadership experience; proficiency with common software and strong communication and teamwork skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing
- 2 years of clinical experience
- Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing with the State of Michigan
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification (through PQF or NCC) within 6 months of completing intermediate fetal monitoring
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to use software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Ability to organize and analyze data
- English fluency
