Job Summary
Provides administrative support to unit-based and hospital-wide clinicians and staff; serves as liaison between patients, visitors, and clinicians; organizes priorities, handles confidential patient information, and coordinates day-to-day patient flow with nursing, including admissions, discharges, and transfers. Performs clerical duties, greets patients and families professionally, manages information at the central nursing station, schedules consultations and patient transport, and enters accurate EMR data. May assist the manager with payroll duties and staff scheduling. 32-hour evening shifts, 5x8-hour shifts, every other weekend and rotating holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Preferred
- Experience Administrative support experience 1-2 years required
- Licenses and Credentials Certified Health Unit Coordinator - NAHUC preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office; ability to use EMR; strong communication and interpersonal skills
