Job Summary
Unit Clerk on the Shared Health Selkirk Mental Health Centre team provides clerical, receptionist and related duties to support patient care operations on the SH Rehab Area 11 unit. Responsibilities include general administrative tasks, effective communication, organization and prioritization of workload, and adherence to site policies. Candidates should have medical terminology knowledge, complete a recognized Unit Clerk training program, and demonstrate strong secretarial skills and ability to work as part of a healthcare team. Applicants must be able to operate standard IT equipment and demonstrate flexibility in a high-demand clinical environment. The role requires successful completion of required background checks (CRCs including Vulnerable Sector, Child Abuse Registry, and Adult Abuse Registry) as part of employment conditions; PHIA and WHMIS training will be provided during probation. Relocation is not indicated; in-person duties on-site in Selkirk, MB are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of high school education, Manitoba Standards, required
- Successful completion of a recognized Unit Clerk training program
- Medical terminology required
