Job Summary
Lift, turn, and position patients; perform hygiene, toileting, feeding, and range of motion exercises. Monitor vital signs, collect specimens, conduct EKGs, and administer enemas. Assist with surgical preps, dressing changes, and postmortem care. Transport patients, blood products, and equipment while maintaining a clean environment. Answer call bells, manage patient belongings, and coordinate information between patients, families, and the healthcare team. Work night shifts with rotating schedules, weekends, and holidays. Maintain CPR certification and ensure proper use of Safe Patient Handling equipment for patients over 35 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to assist with moving patients over 100 pounds using Safe Patient Handling equipment
- Previous healthcare, clerical, customer service, or administrative experience preferred
