Job Summary
Monitor electrocardiogram continuously, identify and interpret cardiac rhythms, and document arrhythmias while reporting significant changes to nursing staff. Support the unit monitoring and evaluation process to improve patient outcomes by providing frontline electronic medical record order entry support and addressing EHR concerns with registered nurses. Maintain the Central Electrocardiogram Telemetry Monitoring system for the Direct Observation Unit and assist with admission and discharge processes. Ensure physician progress notes are ready in charts and perform other job-related duties as assigned. CPR or BLS certification is required; vaccinations are mandatory per policy.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations
- E-Verify participation and acknowledgment of Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
