Job Summary
Executive Quality Leader – Unison provides strategic and technical quality leadership across 9 manufacturing sites, owning a Zero-Defect and Proactive Quality culture, embedding prevention and robust risk management into daily operations. Leads a large, distributed quality organization (2+ direct reports, 250+ indirect), governs the Quality Management System, and partners with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to deliver improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Drives APQP and advanced quality tools across the product lifecycle, supports global manufacturing and supplier initiatives, ensures regulatory and customer requirements are met, and engages with customers and regulators. Travel up to 15%; expected to brief senior leadership and build high-performing teams through change and growth. GE Aerospace is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or related technical field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or closely related disciplines
- Demonstrated experience as a people leader, including leading leaders and large, distributed teams
- Ability to travel up to 15% (domestic and international, as required)
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
- Demonstrated expertise in structured problem solving (e.g., 8D, A3, root cause analysis) and continuous improvement
