Job Summary
The Union Yard Associate role involves stationing and retrieving equipment, maintaining a written maintenance schedule, servicing equipment, and inspecting equipment prior to and after rental for any damage. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to operate hand and power tools. Experience operating heavy equipment and basic mechanical aptitude is valued. A focus on safety and effective communication with customers is essential, as well as the ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 50 pounds or more.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers (written and oral)
- Ability to perform basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc)
- General mechanical aptitude
- Safety-focus
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with common construction and industrial tools
- Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment
- Experience operating Heavy Equipment/Forklifts
- Bilingual (Spanish or Other)
