Job Summary
The Union Sr Audio Visual Tech at Waldorf Astoria New York is responsible for the flawless execution of events through the setup, operation, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment. The role requires expertise in digital audio console applications, projection and video capabilities, lighting console capabilities, and LED Wall and Media Server capabilities. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, flexibility in scheduling, and have substantial experience in event technology. This position requires at least 10 years of experience in the field and the ability to effectively interact with clients and management. Strong troubleshooting skills and proactive maintenance of equipment are also critical to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of event technology experience in Audio, Lighting, Projection, or Video required
- Proficiency in 2 of the following disciplines: Audio, Video, Lighting, and LED
- Pass a written exam and evaluation in practical application
- Ability to interact effectively with a diverse workforce and senior level management
- Self-starter
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 4-5 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred
