Job Summary
Operate and maneuver heavy construction equipment, including telehandlers, excavators, skid steers, backhoes, directional drills, tractors, bulldozers, and cranes, in a safe and effective manner. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned machinery, then load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers. Ensure all equipment is properly shut down and stored securely when not in use. Complete required paperwork, forms, and records as necessary. Obeys and follows all safety rules on the job site, wearing protective gear and maintaining active communication with all crew members. Coordinate machine actions with crew members in response to hand or audio signals. Maintain a good relationship with co-workers and work without close supervision once directed on task.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license or identification card issued within the United States
- Must be able to pass site-specific background checks and drug screens
- Any required certification(s) to operate designated equipment
- Ability to operate equipment effectively and within the equipment's operating capabilities to ensure deadlines of the job are met
- Ability to work without close supervision once directed on task
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
