Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment to avoid downtime at customer locations, ensuring every job is completed right the first time. Keep available equipment in good working order, fabricate parts as needed, and conduct safety inspections to maintain a clean work environment. Assist other mechanics with loading, unloading, and general shop maintenance while diagnosing simple mechanical problems. Meet all company and equipment-specific safety requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working indoors or outdoors.
Required Qualifications
- Must be physically able to work in a jobsite environment for extensive periods to include lifting up to 50lbs, bending, squatting, crouching, and reaching
- Must be able to effectively and safely use mechanic's tools and equipment to diagnose and trouble shoot complex equipment problems
- Must be able to communicate equipment issues and understand job assignments
- Must be able to prioritize work assignments
- Must exhibit personal and professional integrity
- Must exhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety
- Must be flexible regarding work assignments
- Must meet all company, governmental and equipment-specific safety requirements
Desired Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years' experience with similar equipment strongly preferred
- Some Trade school desired
