Job Summary
Maintain building cleanliness by sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors, marble surfaces, lighting fixtures, and trim. Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, elevators, and stairways, while dusting furniture, washing walls and windows, and replenishing bathroom supplies. Transport trash to disposal areas, move small equipment between departments, and deliver messages. Set up tables and chairs in auditoriums or halls as needed. Work the 1st shift (6am–2:30pm) or 2nd shift (3pm–11:30pm). Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in conditions including wet surfaces, chemicals, and loud noise.
Required Qualifications
- Less than high school education
- up to one month related experience
- related training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- 1st shift 6am-230pm
- 2nd shift 3pm-1130pm
