Job Summary
Operate various heavy equipment to assist Foreperson with daily production duties in an Ohio facility. Perform plant-related tasks, clean surrounding areas, lubricate and maintain equipment, and follow directions. Must join IUOE Local 18 within 60 days; willing to travel and work nights/weekends; read and interpret safety rules and manuals; perform routine paperwork; basic math operations; capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; work outdoors in varying weather and noisy environments; adhere to safety practices and company policies; team-oriented with reliable attendance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must join Local 18 IUOE within 60 days of employment.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home; nights and weekends as needed.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to do routine paperwork.
- Mathematical skills including addition/subtraction of two-digit numbers and multiplication/division with tens and hundreds; ability to use units of money, weight, volume, and distance.
- Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve problems.
- Physical ability to frequently reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; occasional standing, walking, sitting; lift up to 50 pounds; distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather, loud noise, and airborne particles; safety PPE as required.
