Job Summary
Uniform Attendant at Fairmont Grand Del Mar responsible for mending deficiencies in employee uniforms and other garments, assisting guests with sewing/tailoring needs, measuring and tailoring uniforms for new colleagues, maintaining uniforms for over 650 employees, making alterations on an ongoing basis, and inspecting/repairing textiles used in the hotel. Requires advanced sewing knowledge, ability to work with diverse fabrics, and strong communication and teamwork. Indoor work with a focus on quality craftsmanship, organization, safety, and collaboration across departments; involves flexible hours to meet a 24-hour operation and delivering luxury hospitality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience of three years or more is a plus
- Must have ability to communicate well both verbally and written
- Advanced knowledge of sewing
- Must know various fabrics and when to use them
- Ability to work with different stitching, fabrics, and sewing machines
