Job Summary
Coordinate assigned programs, activities, and offerings under the Unified Champion Schools Program, including Unified Sports events, Young Athletes programming, social inclusion campaigns, and Cool School Polar Plunges. Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with students, teachers, administrators, and educational organizations to grow the network engaged in Unified Champion Schools strategies. Collaborate with staff to implement programming strategies and complete grant application initiatives, while managing supply inventories, material procurement, and routing communication to stakeholders. Participate in shared department responsibilities such as attending team meetings and maintaining storage areas. This role supports the Inclusive Youth Leadership, Unified Sport, and Whole School Engagement pillars within Special Olympics Minnesota's mission to advance inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in event management, account management, community building, relationship building or similar with demonstrated success in building engagement and relationships
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong customer service and problem-solving experience, with the ability to assist constituents or participants in navigating programs and services while building positive relationships and increasing long-term participation
- In-depth knowledge of youth programming, inclusive sports, and/ or academic environments
- Must be able to pass background check
- Experience with CRM technology
- Experience with Microsoft platform
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience working with communities with all abilities preferred
