Job Summary
Underwrite and analyze new business and renewal submissions while actively participating in production underwriting, marketing, and processing of assigned lines of business. Build and selectively manage portfolio objectives for gross written premium, loss ratio, and claim ratio to achieve monthly and annual profitability goals. Develop existing broker relations and establish new relationships in targeted territories to attract business opportunities, ensuring consistent communication of products to brokers. Participate in client and broker meetings as required, while staying informed on evolving economic and insurance marketplace trends, legal developments, and underwriting concerns. Contribute to special projects and assignments as requested, demonstrating the ability to meet tight deadlines and interact with various organizational levels.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- 8 years underwriting experience
- experience underwriting and marketing
- Strong computer skills
- Proficient in Powerpoint
- Proficient in Excel
- Proficient in Outlook
- Proficient in Word
- Excellent organization skills
