Job Summary
Evaluate exposures and determine appropriate terms for large healthcare insurance programs, including Professional Liability and CGL. Communicate with broker partners to negotiate coverage and manage referrals for new business. Build relationships with brokers, clients, and consultants while developing expertise in various professional liability wordings. Ensure files are well-documented and comply with internal requirements while maintaining a thorough understanding of industry trends. This role supports Trisura's specialty insurance focus on healthcare risks and professional liability products.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or post-secondary education in business, marketing, sales, or insurance preferred
- 3-5+ years of Healthcare Professional Liability underwriting experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English are required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Commercial General Liability, Property, Portfolio or Program Underwriting is an asset
- Obtained or working toward CIP or RPLU Designation is an asset
- Bilingual in French and English an asset
