Job Summary
Build and maintain rules in the Underwriting Rules Engine to manage risk and drive Straight Through Underwriting, while preparing reports and analyzing data to identify improvement opportunities. Support the development of analytical underwriting models as a subject matter expert, conduct protective value studies to monitor model performance, and lead cross-functional projects to drive underwriting innovation. Train and support underwriting operations regarding tools developed by the team. Requires five years of life and critical illness underwriting experience with current authority, Tableau proficiency, and bilingualism for Quebec roles.
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of life and critical illness underwriting experience with current authority
- Be a Certified Professional Underwriter with a FALU designation or working to achieve the designation
- Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) for Quebec only
- Experience/familiarity with Tableau
- Advanced Excel skills
- Interest/background in data analysis
