Job Summary
Manage timely and compliant underwriting of loans to ensure saleability, including reviewing files for escalations, second signatures, and spot audits. Resolve non-saleable loans by finding alternative products, consulting with underwriters, and responding to investor requests. Oversee daily file assignments, monitor email approvals and denials, and conduct performance reviews for subordinates. Lead team-building, mentoring, and hiring decisions while ensuring alignment with company policies and goals. Participate in system analysis for new Loan Origination System changes and project teams to implement updates. Track departmental objectives and prepare reports on outstanding issues with Ops and Sales managers.
