Job Summary
Lead profit center support operations, including staffing, systems, and vendor spend while managing KPIs such as cycle time, data quality, leakage, and service levels. Oversee origination and servicing activities across the book of business, guiding subjectivities to completion and partnering with underwriting teams to meet SLAs. Lead, coach, and develop Account Managers, Underwriting Assistants, and Operations Analysts while implementing standards for submission, renewal, and issuance activity. Promote the accuracy of premium and exposure data used in financial reporting and maintain current process documentation to support audit and compliance requirements. Partner with shared services and centers of excellence to drive adoption of enterprise tools and lead automation and digitization efforts. This role supports a profit center with over $100M in premium within Crum & Forster's property & casualty, accident & health, and specialty commercial lines business.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of insurance operations experience
- 3+ years in a leadership role with responsibility for budget, headcount, and operational outcomes
- bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Desired Qualifications
- CPCU, AIC, or similar insurance operations designation
- experience in executive lines and/or specialty commercial lines underwriting operations
- Experience supporting a comparable book or business unit, ideally $100M+ in premium
- leading teams across multiple functions, including account management and underwriting support/operations
- Strong understanding of loss ratio, expense ratio, and combined ratio drivers
- comfort managing budgets and making thoughtful trade-off decisions in a resource-constrained environment
- Demonstrated success developing teams in a cross-functional environment
