Job Summary
Oversee the development, maintenance, and communication of underwriting guidelines, procedures, and process manuals while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practices. Provide training and leadership to Group Underwriting staff by coordinating case studies, presentations, and structured quality assurance programs. Create self-serve training capabilities and facilitate learning sessions for the Underwriting team, Sales teams, and other Group Benefits departments. Monitor industry trends to update procedures and support internal and external clients, auditors, and reinsurers. Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes to align practices with corporate policies.
Required Qualifications
- post-secondary diploma or industry equivalent
- 5 years' experience in the Group Underwriting field or strong Group Benefits knowledge
- experience with developing & delivering adult learning programs
- excellent analytical and communication skills
- Background check
Desired Qualifications
- Associate, Customer Service (ACS), Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and/or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation
