Job Summary
Underwriting Associate provides technical underwriting and administrative support to the underwriting staff, analyzes information to triage quotes, renewals, and endorsements, applies published guidelines and regulatory requirements, underwrites endorsements within authority, documents pricing decisions, and proactively identifies upsell opportunities. The role collaborates with internal partners, ensures timely file documentation, serves as a liaison with agencies, seeks missing information, and supports KPI-driven portfolio objectives. This is a remote opportunity aligned with Mountain Time Zone business hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of CIC or AU certification or working towards CIC/AU
- 3 years of commercial property and casualty insurance experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of coverage forms and endorsements; familiarity with underwriting systems (Risk Selection, Guidewire, LC360)
- Strong time management and communication skills
