Job Summary
Primary Casualty Underwriting Assistant at Vantage will support the underwriting team with daily transaction processing, file preparation, rating support for new business submissions and renewals, and producing quotes, binders, and endorsements. The role involves coordinating with underwriters and internal/external partners to ensure service standards are met, assisting with policy issuance, and contributing to process improvements in a rapid-growth environment. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s or technical degree or equivalent experience, 1+ year in insurance (product line experience preferred), knowledge of policy forms and regulatory requirements, strong written/verbal communication, analytical problem-solving, and a customer-service mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or technical degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
- At least one year of insurance industry experience preferred
- One year of insurance product line experience preferred
- Knowledge of insurance policy forms and regulatory requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical skills to identify problems and develop solutions
- Customer service focus
- Digitally savvy/Insight
