Job Summary
The role involves writing profitable Power & Renewable Energy business in accordance with the underwriting plan, managing underwriting risk exposures through aggregate limits and reinsurance, and collaborating with Risk Engineering. Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, as well as negotiation and decision-making skills. The ideal applicant will have a minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience within the relevant business, demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of claims, and show proficiency in report writing and business development.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ Underwriter experience within the class of business or with a property background
- Up-to-date knowledge of claims to inform future underwriting decisions
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Energy underwriting practices
- Experience with reinsurance reporting
