Job Summary
Review new business, renewals, and endorsements for security guard and patrol service risks by analyzing exposures, loss history, and financial information. Determine pricing, terms, conditions, and coverage structures while issuing quotations, binding coverage, and managing policy transactions within delegated authority. Manage and grow a profitable book of business by monitoring retention, rate adequacy, and loss performance to identify opportunities for additional coverages. Develop strong relationships with retail agents and brokerage partners by serving as a trusted advisor on industry risks and responding promptly to submissions and inquiries. Partner with leadership, carrier partners, and business development teams to achieve growth objectives and refine underwriting guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial insurance underwriting experience
- Experience underwriting casualty, package, workers' compensation, professional liability, or specialty insurance products
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills
- Ability to evaluate complex submissions and make sound underwriting decisions
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- State Property & Casualty license
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within E&S, MGA/MGU, program business, or specialty insurance markets
- Knowledge of contractor, security services, staffing, government service contractor, or service-industry risks
- Experience working with delegated underwriting authority
- Professional designations such as CPCU, AU, ARM, or CRIS
- Prior broker-facing or agency-facing experience
- CPCU, ARM, AU, CRIS, or other insurance designations
