Job Summary
Reviews insurance reinstatement and reissue applications to evaluate applicant eligibility using company guidelines. Determines necessary medical, non-medical, regulatory, and compliance requirements, and escalates complex cases to Compliance for further review. Makes sound risk selections to protect the company and satisfies customer expectations by advising financial professionals on underwriting rationales. Assists with project and committee work, performs basic clerical duties, and interprets normal electrocardiograms. Requires a Bachelor's degree, one year of life underwriting experience, and approval authority up to $2.5 million standard risk.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 1+ years of life underwriting experience
Desired Qualifications
- Active pursuit or completion of a LOMA designation
