Job Summary
International Casualty Underwriter role focusing on supporting profitable growth and management of Apollo's International Casualty portfolio. Collaborate with the Class Lead and underwriting team across delegated authority and open market business, contribute to risk assessment, pricing, and underwriting decisions, monitor portfolio performance through data analysis and reporting, and build strong broker/client relationships while representing Apollo in the market. Emphasis on development within a specialist International Casualty portfolio, working with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders, and contributing to process improvements and portfolio management practices. Hybrid and flexible working is embraced to balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Casualty or Liability Insurance experience within the Lloyd's or London Market
- Exposure to international casualty or multinational liability business
- Ambition to develop as an underwriter with technical expertise and authority
- Strong understanding of underwriting principles including risk assessment and portfolio management
- Experience with delegated authority, binders, lineslips and/or open market underwriting
- Analytical capability to interpret underwriting data and management information
- Relationship management and communication skills to engage with brokers, clients, coverholders, and internal stakeholders
