Job Summary
Role Summary: Deliver efficient case underwriting service to brokers, support regular broker development on-site, and manage regional accounts in line with strategy and objectives. Key responsibilities include adhering to the 4 Call Process to maximise opportunities, achieving income, profit, and KPI targets, building and maintaining strong personal broker relationships, displaying strong negotiation skills for conversion and relationship-building, maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge, contributing market intelligence to the Regional Director and wider team, and collaborating with claims and survey teams as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum A level standard preferred
- Professional Certification – progress towards ACII preferred
- Full clean driving licence
- Experience: at least 5 years in Commercial Insurance underwriting
- Proven broker relationships
- Proven Track Record in Underwriting Development
- Ability to negotiate flexibly and appropriately
- Effective selling skills
- Demonstrates range of influencing and negotiation approaches
- Risk perception/risk selection skills
- Pricing of risk accordingly
- Experience working across functions / matrix organisation to collaborate and build strong relationships
