Job Summary
Underwriter responsible for timely, accurate loan decisions in line with APM Underwriting Policy and investor guidelines; underwrites a minimum of 2 loans per day, reviews files for accuracy, runs QC tools, and communicates status with processors and loan officers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years current underwriting experience
- FHA & CONV credentials, VA credentials a plus
- Proven experience with Encompass
- Ability to underwrite CONV and, when authorized, USDA/Jumbo per guidelines
- Strong knowledge of mortgage products and investor guidelines
- Excellent communication with processors and loan officers
- Detail-oriented with analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work East Coast hours
