Job Summary
The Middle Market Business Center underwrites and negotiates renewal and new business for eligible Inland Marine accounts, partnering with agents/brokers to provide coverage for new and renewal business. The Account Executive (AE) will manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book, underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability, cultivate internal and external relationships to support market penetration, deliver seamless underwriting experiences, identify cross-selling opportunities, and support agency/region/group sales plans. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, 3–5 years of underwriting experience, knowledge of Business Insurance and regulatory environment, CPCU designation, and strong negotiation/communication skills. Must-have also includes two years of underwriting, claim, operations, risk assessment, actuarial, sales, product, or finance experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three to five years of underwriting experience
- Knowledge of Business Insurance products and regulatory environment
- CPCU designation
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Two years of underwriting, claim, operations, risk assessment, actuarial, sales, product, or finance experience
