Job Summary
Supports excavation, installation, and repair of underground water mains, service lines, and drain piping. Roles span from laborer to pipefitter to equipment operator; work located near Warrensburg, Missouri. Primary duties include excavating and maintaining water mains and service lines, operating backhoe/mini-excavator/skid-steer with required qualifications, locating and repairing underground water leaks, installing underground piping (PVC, cast iron, ductile iron), adhering to Missouri One Call markings, maintaining jobsite safety per OSHA standards, and participating in on-call responses (incentive pay available). Ideal candidates may have 2+ years in underground piping/plumbing, experience excavating around utilities, knowledge of Dig Rite markings, and OSHA/ CDL considerations. OSHA 10-hour Construction Card is available; plumbing experience/license is beneficial but not required. Required Qualifications
- Dependable attendance and ability to work independently per schedules
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and heavier loads with assistance; ability to perform strenuous labor
- Carry basic personal tools
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- 2+ years of underground piping/plumbing experience (preferred)
- Experience excavating around utilities (preferred)
- Knowledge of Missouri One Call (Dig Rite) markings (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license, CDL-A preferred (not required)
- OSHA 10-hour Construction Card (training available)
- Plumbing experience/license beneficial (not required)
