Job Summary
Underground Pipe Layer needed to install underground piping systems for storm drains, sanitary sewers, and water distribution. Responsibilities include digging, trenching, grading, pipe cutting, alignment, joining with welding cement or adhesives, sealing pipe runs, and installing/repairing stormwater and sanitary sewer systems using precision instruments (lasers, transit levels, grade rods). Ensure work complies with project specs, schedules, budgets, and safety standards; support work planning, material coordination, and coordination with project management to maintain progress. Certifications in CPR, First Aid, OSHA 30, EM-385, and STS are required (training provided if needed). Experience with government/military or large commercial projects and Design-Build context is highly desirable. Equal opportunity employer statements included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One to two years of experience in underground utility construction or related trade work preferred
- Experience supporting government, military, or large commercial construction projects highly desirable
- Previous experience within the design-build construction industry preferred
- CPR, First Aid, OSHA 30, EM-385, and STS certifications required; training provided if needed
