Job Summary
Operate heavy underground construction equipment to install, maintain, and repair telecommunications infrastructure (trenching, boring, excavating, and placing conduit and fiber). Read and interpret utility locates, site drawings, and construction plans; perform safe excavation; ensure OSHA and company-safety compliance; travel to various job sites; complete required paperwork. Work in outdoor environments, in a team setting, with occasional overtime/weekends. CDL preferred and physically demanding tasks are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience operating underground construction equipment required
- Experience in telecommunications or utility construction preferred
- Ability to read construction prints and utility markings
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred, if applicable)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
