Job Summary
Underground Mining Engineer with 4+ years of technical experience and a Mining Engineering degree. The role involves working on multiple projects across nickel, gold, and copper mines, including stope design, drill & blast optimization, mine design (stope layouts, development, infrastructure), and production scheduling/planning. You’ll rotate through diverse projects (3–6 months each) and be embedded with client teams, with a supportive mentorship structure and flexible start/finish times. The position emphasizes developing technical expertise, cross-disciplinary collaboration with mining, geology, resource, geotech, and environment teams, and opportunities for AusIMM membership and internal recognition. Current Australian working rights are required, with a focus on sustainable career development and long-term career growth.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent)
- 4+ years technical experience in underground hard rock mining
- Exposure to different underground mining methods and approaches
- Current and unrestricted working rights for Australia
- Demonstrated capability in 2 of the following areas: Drill & blast design and optimization; Mine design (stope layouts, development, infrastructure); Production scheduling and planning
