Job Summary
Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair underground mining equipment including bolters, scoops, jumbos, hydraulic drills, and heavy machinery. Perform repairs on drivetrains, transmissions, and hydraulic systems while utilizing computerized diagnostic tools to identify issues and maintain detailed service reports. Complete scheduled and unscheduled work orders promptly, conduct preventative maintenance, and test repaired equipment to verify functionality. Work in challenging underground environments adhering to strict safety protocols and confined space requirements. Requires Red Seal certification, 3+ years of heavy-duty mining experience with Maclean Bolters, valid Class 5 license, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Full-time 14X14 schedule with 12-hour days, OT at $93.75/hr, night shift premiums, and provided accommodations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience working as a heavy-duty mechanic, preferably in underground mining or resource industries
- Familiarity with underground equipment, such as bolters, scoops, jumbos, and hydraulic drills
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working with Maclean Bolters
- Red Seal Certification
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Commitment to working safely in confined spaces and underground conditions
- Must be proficient in English (written and verbal)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean 5-year abstract
- Must pass a Criminal Record check
- Ability to pass an 8-panel drug test (including marijuana) and alcohol breath test
- Physical fitness to lift 50 lbs comfortably

Desired Qualifications
- Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification
- Experience with key equipment brands such as Sandvik, Liebherr, Epiroc, CAT, and Komatsu
- Will consider Truck and Transport Mechanics or Agricultural Equipment Technicians
