Job Summary
Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on all underground mining machinery. Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective repair solutions to prevent equipment failures. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to prolong the equipment's operational life. Execute systematic checks, lubrication, and part replacements as necessary. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. Operate machinery such as overhead cranes, forklifts, and boom trucks. Carry out additional tasks as assigned. Work a unique schedule with 7 days on, 7 days off, working only two weeks a month. Requires over 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic and proficiency in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Required Qualifications
- Over 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic
- Strong mechanical skills
- Ability to solve problems efficiently
- Essential knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems of heavy machinery
- Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings
- Must be capable of working independently while maintaining high safety standards
