Job Summary
Pass tools to line crew members, handle cables and conduit, and assist with setting transformers and poles. Dig holes and ditches by hand, clear undergrowth from the right-of-way, and move debris using shovels and rakes. Clean equipment and trucks, maintain a safe work area, and learn to operate power-driven machinery like excavators and jackhammers. Work safely outside in various weather conditions while lifting 50 pounds regularly. Requires a valid driver's license and ability to travel long distances for storm or emergency work. Required Qualifications
- Able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Work safely outside in various weather conditions
- Valid Driver's License
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year utility experience (preferably in the construction industry)
- Able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License permit within 150 days of employment
- Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required
- Willing to work over-time when requested in support of storm or emergency work
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- Willingness to obtain Tanker Endorsement (preferred)
