Job Summary
Lead and supervise crews performing underground electrical distribution work, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. Manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously while providing direct supervision and technical guidance to Journeymen, Cablemen, Apprentices, and Groundmen. Perform maintenance and construction on all projects, read and interpret site plans, construction drawings, and scopes of work, and coordinate essential personnel on-site. Enforce safety rules, practices, and regulations, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work zone in high-traffic pedestrian areas. Clean and maintain equipment, trucks, and tools, and establish a quality work ethic among the team. Work 40+ hours per week, including inclement weather and holidays, with willingness to travel for storm and emergency events.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ Years' experience in the Underground Electrical Distribution field
- at least 3 years' experience as Foreman and/or General Foreman
- Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and schematics
- familiarity with network systems
- familiarity with Delmarva Total Outage Application (TOA) process and requirements
- Competence in job walk down including Miss Utility requirements
- Must be able to pass test for LOTO
- Clearance holder at Exelon (Pepco)
- current, valid driver's license
- ability to obtain a Class A CDL within 6 months
- High School diploma or GED
- Willingness to work 40+ hours per week to include during inclement weather, holidays, and/or weekends as needed
- Willingness to work overtime
- Willingness to travel long distances on short notice for storm and/or emergency events as needed
- Willingness to obtain Tanker Endorsement
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop, and kneel on a regular basis
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check
- Must successfully complete a drug screen
