Job Summary

Conduct new construction, maintenance, and repair work on underground utility lines, including digging, rigging, lifting, and pole installation. Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, trenchers, and mini-excavators while adhering to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards. Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and construction prints to guide crew activities and coordinate personnel, subcontractors, and traffic control. Perform manual tasks like assembling materials, filling pole holes, flagging traffic, and cleaning job sites. Lead or assist in Job Task Safety Analysis meetings and tailgate briefings to ensure compliance and team readiness.

Required Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Class A CDL
  • Valid driver's license

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting site plans, construction prints/drawings and scopes of work

  • Advanced understanding of compliance with OSHA Shoring & Trenching standards
  • Ability to effectively lead and record Job Task Safety Analysis (JTSA) meetings
