Job Summary
Lead underground construction, mechanical, and civil crews across ongoing mining projects in Mt Isa, supervising daily site activities and coordinating labor, equipment, and subcontractors to meet project schedules. Ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with underground mining safety procedures. Manage client, project team, and site personnel interactions to solve problems and drive planning efforts. Requires 5+ years supervising underground construction and leading crews in mining environments. Operates on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Brisbane, Townsville, or Cairns with an immediate start.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience supervising underground construction projects
- Proven experience leading construction, mechanical and/or civil crews in underground mining environments
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Ability to coordinate labour, equipment and subcontractors to meet project schedules
- Excellent understanding of underground mining safety standards and procedures
- Current unrestricted driver's licence
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project documentation
- Mining experience is essential
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing
- 2:1 FIFO roster from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns
Desired Qualifications
- Supervisor qualifications (G1, G8 or G9 or equivalent) are preferred
