Undergraduate Transfer Admissions Counselor

Job Summary
Establish contact with Freshmen and Transfer inquiries via email, telephone, and in-person visits while maintaining the admissions funnel to achieve enrollment goals. Manage assigned territories by developing strategic travel and outreach plans, evaluating application files for admissions decisions, and creating yield plans for accepted applicants. Coordinate dialogue between accepted students and the Brenau community while serving as a liaison to academic schools to share relevant information. Document all interactions in the Slate CRM and assist with office activities including mailings and data entry. This on-site role at Brenau University's Historic Gainesville Campus requires frequent domestic travel, including overnight stays, and involves working Monday through Friday with hours that may extend to meet department needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to promote Brenau effectively, honestly, and openly
- Must be able to relate very well to prospective students of all ages, and where appropriate, to their families
- Must be self-motivated, highly organized and display a high level of dedication to the University and to the task of representing the University to the public
- Must provide the prospective students the highest level of customer service and support while abiding by the policies of Brenau University and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
- Must be punctual (arrival time approved/assigned by supervisor)
- Must dress professionally
- Must foster an atmosphere of positive teamwork
- Must be eligible to work in the United States on or before the confirmed start date
- Must maintain eligibility throughout employment
- Must be able to operate and drive a motor vehicle
- Must be able to travel as needed
- Must be able to travel short distances
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must possess a valid Georgia driver's license
- Must have and maintain a clean driving record
- Must undergo a criminal background check
- Must maintain a favorable criminal history
- Must be willing to submit to and pass a criminal background check
- Must undergo a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be subject to random drug screens
- Must be subject to random MVR checks
- Must be subject to random criminal history background checks
- Must undergo a credit check
- Must submit proof of any professional degree, license, or certification required to competently perform the work
