Job Summary
UAS SME / Test Administration and Event Support Specialist to plan, coordinate, administer, and document stakeholder engagement and live UAS flight-testing activities for a 12-month public safety communications research effort. Responsibilities include leading project initiation and event sequencing, planning a stakeholder workshop, coordinating facilities and logistics for live flight-tests, administering client-defined test plans, collecting qualitative observations and quantitative RF performance metrics, documenting results, supporting FAA compliance considerations, and delivering final workshop and test-event reports. Required expertise covers UAS operations, public safety communications, test administration, event logistics, data collection, and written/verbal reporting; bachelor’s degree or higher and 6-10 years of relevant experience; strong facilitation, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills; willingness to travel; U.S. citizenship and client-suitability readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in aviation systems, engineering, robotics, telecommunications, emergency management, information systems, public safety technology, or a related field
- 6-10 years of experience supporting UAS, public safety communications, test administration, operational experimentation, technical event execution, or related programs
- Experience coordinating event logistics, participant communications, facilities, schedules, materials, and execution support for technical or public safety-focused events
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel as required for stakeholder workshops, planning sessions, live flight-testing activities, debriefs, or related events
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to meet client suitability requirements
