Job Summary

Support customer engagements related to multi-state unclaimed property audit defense, voluntary disclosure agreements, and consulting projects. Assist in gathering, organizing, and analyzing customer records to identify potential unclaimed property exposure and reporting requirements. Prepare schedules, reconciliations, workpapers, and supporting documentation for customer deliverables and state submissions. Participate in customer meetings and auditor discussions while assisting with responses to information document requests. Research unclaimed property laws, regulations, and reporting requirements across various states. Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate project status updates to team members and engagement leaders. Work collaboratively with peers and senior team members to meet customer deadlines and deliver high-quality work product. Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing efficiencies through technology and standardized procedures. Develop an understanding of unclaimed property concepts, industry trends, and legislative developments affecting customer engagements.

Required Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, finance, consulting, compliance, audit, or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment
  • Willingness to learn complex unclaimed property concepts and consulting methodologies
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and customer needs while maintaining productivity and quality
  • BA/BS degree in accounting, business administration, finance, information systems, economics, engineering, or a related field

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with large data sets is a plus
