Open sterile supplies, set up the table, and provide a sterile field while maintaining aseptic techniques and informing the team of infractions. Anticipate and pass instruments to the surgeon, follow perioperative count policies, and clean, wrap, and prepare instruments for sterilization. Prepare sterile dressings for incisions, assist in specialty surgical services maintenance, and manage equipment borrowing and lending. Orient students and technologists, participate in unit goal development, and deliver annual educational in-services. Maintain competency across two specialties or three sub-specialties while adhering to mandatory call, holiday, and weekend shift requirements.
