Job Summary
Prepare patients and equipment for catheterization procedures by draping, arranging instruments, and calibrating pressure transducers. Perform specialized vascular and neuro procedures while selecting technical factors to minimize radiation exposure. Assist physicians during interventional radiology, administer contrast media under supervision, and maintain departmental quality control and equipment safety. Maintain availability on a rotational call schedule for after-hours procedures and support the Vascular OR with tech coverage. Lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks including crawling and stooping while providing direct patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Utah.
- ARRT Registration as a Radiologic Technologist R.T. (R) (ARRT).
- Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system.
- Demonstrated potential ability to perform the essential functions as outlined above.
- Ability to provide care to the population served.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development and the ability to assess data regarding the patient's status and provide care as described in the department's policies and procedures manual.
- Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills.
- Ability to identify and solve problems effectively.
- Maintains availability on a rotational call schedule for procedures after normal hours.

Desired Qualifications
- Six (6) months of angiography experience.
- ARRT RT(VI) registration in Vascular Intervention.
