Job Summary
Complete electrocardiograph readings and perform lead placement, calibration, and Holter Monitor hook-ups for patients throughout the hospital. Operate computerized data acquisition equipment for stress procedures, including treadmill and bicycle exercise tolerance tests, Thallium, Muga, and oxygen consumption stress tests, while assisting proctors in monitoring patients. Maintain accurate logs of patient information, process billing and physician review paperwork, and perform minor equipment maintenance and supply restocking. This entry-level position requires a current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential and may involve lifting up to 100 pounds or exposure to infectious diseases.
Required Qualifications
- Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system
- Entry level position status
- Ability to provide care to the population served
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development
- Ability to assess data regarding the patient's status
- Ability to provide care as described in the department's policies and procedures manual
- Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills
- Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 100 pounds
- Ability to meet physical requirements including carrying, climbing, color determination, crawling, far vision, lifting, listening, manual dexterity, near vision, pulling and/or pushing, reaching, sitting, speaking, standing, stooping and crouching, tasting or smelling, and walking
