Job Summary
Monitor, analyze, and reconcile general ledger accounts while ensuring transactions are properly recorded and GAAP compliance is maintained. Lead month-end closing activities including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and reporting, and prepare financial statements for internal and external use. Perform account reconciliation, post journal entries, and provide income tax and transaction tax support. Review and verify account coding accuracy, maintain procedural documentation, and lead technical accounting analysis for assets, mergers, and acquisitions. Respond to financial inquiries and validate work product against regulatory and business unit guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 4+ years equivalent professional work experience
- 3+ years' public accounting experience
- 5+ years' corporate accounting experience
- application of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- equivalent combination of technical and functional experience
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Knowledge of SEC rules
- Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley Act requirements
- Knowledge of quarterly, annual and periodic external reporting processes of 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K and other SEC filings
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Proficient with SAP
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
