Job Summary
Conduct on-site installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment, including telephone systems, video/CATV/DBS, and fiber optic facilities. Diagnose defective cable using test equipment, repair buried or aerial lines, and operate construction equipment while adhering to RUS Standards. Respond to dispatches for trouble resolution, maintain orderly logs for locate requests, and perform cable fault acceptance tests on new facilities. Provide proactive sales support and customer education for TDS products and services. This role requires residing within a 60-minute drive of the Contoocook, NH warehouse, holding a valid driver's license, and working overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
- Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines
- Requires being available for on-call/standby responsibilities
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed
- Upon hire, must successfully pass all components of the Safety Course curriculum
- Ability to maintain DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements in relation to operating vehicles with a combined GVRW (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) of >10,000 lbs
- A+ certification

- Practical knowledge/experience with computer applications including (but not limited to): Databases, Trouble/Repair/Dispatch Systems, Plant Record Systems, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel
- Ability to work and make decisions independently with little or no supervision
- Demonstrated customer service and sales skills
