Job Summary
Conduct independent electrical engineering activities for complex continuing services projects, including preparing sketches, calculations, and equipment specifications. Meet with client technical staff to discuss features, evaluate vendor bids for compliance, and review design drawings for assigned segments. Coordinate manpower for electrical engineering staff, supervise less experienced engineers, and direct design-engineering activities for projects of significant size. Participate in plant start-ups, field assignments, and equipment inspections at vendor facilities while providing input to estimates, proposals, and scheduling. Requires a licensed professional engineer with 10+ years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years experience in Electrical Engineering
- 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering
- Registration as a licensed professional engineer
- Knowledge and understanding of Project Management requirements including staffing and scheduling
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients, managers, designers and engineers
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
